 The USCC Gettysburg Christian Tour program was developed from seven years of original research. When the question was asked “What type of ministry took place during the Civil War where 600,000 lost their lives?”, the answers were few and far between. Most religion during the Civil War discussions focus on the faith of Stonewall Jackson, Robert E, Lee, Abraham Lincoln and the topic “Whose SIDE was God on?” But did God abandon the nation just eighty years after His hand was so prominent in its foundation?
We discovered far more than a few Generals with a private faith in God, we discovered a heroic group of people that were called “One of the Wonders of the World!” when the war was over. This story has sadly been left out of the history of our great nation. But now, you can be among the first to learn the inspiring story of the United States Christian Commission and the Heroes of Faith!
